While I was pregnant with my daughter I knew I wanted to stay active and healthy. I kept seeing FIT4MOM at my Midwives offices and when my daughter was just 6 weeks old I couldn't wait to try a class. I loved everything about FIT4MOM and how the Stroller Strides classes combined working out and being with my daughter! Stroller Strides had everything I was looking for as a new mom and a mom new to the area too. It was an opportunity to exercise, a reason to get out of the house everyday and have a routine again, fun playgroups and a way to make friends for myself and for my little one.

Stroller Strides Certified, ACE Certified Personal Trainer; M.S. in Applied Physiology and Nutrition; Registered Dietitian.


I’ve always been passionate about fitness and nutrition, and became certified in group exercise and personal training while in college, teaching a wide variety of classes from boot camp to spinning to Zumba and more. I am the Corporate Wellness Program Manager for Pitney Bowes.


While pregnant and wondering how I was going to keep teaching classes after having my son, I was thrilled to find Stroller Strides. I took my first class with Shanae- The workout was amazing, my son was happy, I met wonderful people…. I was hooked and I knew teaching Stroller Strides would be the perfect fit for me. I started teaching summer 2012 and I’m loving it! I get to motivate moms to achieve their fitness goals, and teaching class means spending MORE time with my baby, not less!

My goal is to help all moms feel comfortable and welcome, leave class feeling fantastic, unlock their fitness potential, and get the energy they need as moms and in life. Stroller Strides is the perfect blend of fun, fitness, camaraderie, and support and I’m thrilled to be a part of it!

Dr. Emily Krol
Certified Running Coach

Found her love for running back in college when she signed up for her first 5k fun run. Since then, her feet haven't stopped moving. Emily has participated in numerous races in NY and CT. Some of her most recent races include Hope in Motion, Gateway Gobbler, Colony Pizza 5k, and the Fairfield Half marathon. This year will be Emily's 7th year running the Fairfield Half. She has also ran half marathons in Greenwich, Norwalk, and New Haven. She also completed the Ragnar Relay race from New Haven to Boston. Her greatest accomplishment was completing the NYC marathon! Emily is also a new mom of a 1 year and more than eager to hit the pavement with her stroller!
Emily looks forward to meeting new, as well as experienced, runners to have lots of fun and add some miles to our belts.

Both new to the Stamford area, and new to motherhood, I found myself struggling to find "me" in Baby World. As someone who used to be hugely passionate and focused on my health and wellbeing, I was entirely lost in my sleep-deprived, calorie-chaotic, baby-centered existence. Nap after nap, my son would wake up the second he heard me put on my sneakers. By chance, I stumbled across the term "Stroller Strides" and then was thrilled to find out it was offered locally and made a booking (and then subsequently cancelled my booking about 5 times in a row because I couldn't make it out of the house before 10). When I finally did attend a class it was like a door was opened: I'm working out! They're singing to my baby! My baby is entertained! Hey this is actually challenging! Hey, I'm actually talking to an adult! Do I remember how to talk to an adult?! So many endorphins! After that, I was hooked - this positive group of strong women kept me coming, not just for the workout, but for the amazing camaraderie and support (and understanding as to how challenging getting out of the house before 10 actually is!). I now can entertain my son, get my workout in, as well as avoid countless hours of searching for mom advice on the internet because I can get it from my fellow Stroller Strides mamas all in one manageable hour!

Certified Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Fit4Baby and Body Back Instructor

Being active, fit and healthy as well as making friends to share experiences in different life episodes has always been an important part of my life. Whether as part of a gymnastics team in my youth or as senior with over 30 years, whether among close friends doing windsurfing or taking part in race bike challenges - I loved doing it. Whenever there was a change (move, start of university, job, living abroad…) I searched, and luckily always found, possibilities to get active. One of the biggest changes was the birth of my son – what should I do now? Leave him home, do sports only after he went to bed at night…? I was happy to find a special fitness program for moms with baby. That was still back in Germany. When we moved to Greenwich in 2016, just before I had my daughter, I was already doing research on fitness for moms with babies – and found Fit4Mom! I was eager to try the first class as soon as possible – and started when she was only five weeks old. I loved the combination of getting out to do something for myself without leaving my baby behind. I was happy to get her some fresh air while I did sports, met other moms, could exchange experiences, ask questions, get tips, felt understood. Not onIy was I delighted to make some new friends, but also to meet so many moms with so many different backgrounds of jobs, of nationality...all united by Motherhood.

To entertain the kids actively with nursery rhymes sounds funny in the beginning, but it is so great to see, that they start to love it! They watch mommy doing sports, they clap and cheer, even my older one (when off from school) cheered “go mommy, go!”

I am happy to be a part of the Fit4Mom instructor team to pass on the feeling of satisfaction to do something good for yourself, to be able to turn the mommy guilt feeling (leaving the baby or skipping fitness) into a feeling of positive example and wellbeing, to help others find new friends, find a new part of yourself in a new part of your life!

I am looking forward to meeting you, your little one(s) and help you find and reach your own fitness goals!
